Closing out 2023 with a wonderful present that just arrived in the post! This is my third international award for “Louie and the Dictator”- most recently a silver medal in the ‘Readers’ Favourite category for middle grade.
At the end of the day, it’s not the award that matters, it’s the children that have been helped through raising awareness and funds. THANK YOU for all your support and for helping me raise over $1000 in the past couple of years in royalties donated to BC Children’s Hospital, Vancouver Paediatric OCD research and psychiatric program.
This year the team released their annual summary and what has been accomplished has been nothing short of amazing! Thirteen research papers published from subjects related to pandemic impact, teen disclosures in secondary school settings and parent management training sessions.
Presentations have been delivered on epigenetics and trauma, immune related co-morbidities, and mixed methods / therapeutics studies. Numerous conferences have been attended / hosted that continue to raise awareness and new research into supporting children and youth living with OCD.
This is my ‘why’.
From the bottom of my heart, thanks to everyone who has purchased a copy, learned something new, or supported a loved with children and youth with neurodiversities or anxiety disorders.
